
Jack
LeSage
Communications Team Chairperson
Jack came back to T.S.
Jenkins & Associates Inc. in 1965 following his graduation from
Chicago’s American Academy of Art and employment with the R.H. Donnelly
Company. He has had a wide range of experience in both marketing /
communications and human resources. Coupled with his creative design
abilities, Jack has a thorough knowledge of working with leaders in the
for-profit and not-for-profit communities.
Jack currently serves on
various committees such as Wellness HIV/Aids Services, Inc. Finance
Committee, Past Presidents Advisory Committee of the American
Advertising Federation Genesee County Region, the Flint Institute of
Music Communication Committee, Mott Community College Graphics
Curriculum Advisory Committee, Fund Development Committee for Resource
Genesee and chairs the Communication Committee of Woodside Church.
Jack is past president
of the Flint Area Advertising Federation, Friends of Modern Art,
two-term president of
the Flint Institute of Arts and three-term president of The Greater
Flints Arts Council. He has been on the Board of Resource Genesee, the
Flint Community Players and Center Stage Productions of Flint. He has
served six terms on the Board of Trustees of the Flint Institute of
Arts, the Greater Flint Arts Council and two terms as Treasurer of the
Flint Institute of Arts. He has been involved with community planning
with the Community Cultural Plan Task Force Awareness/Promotion. He
served 4 years on the PR/Media Committee of the YWCA Domestic Violence
Campaign and has spent 6 years in anti-racism training, co-chaired
FACTER (Flint Area Citizens To End Racism), completed LDIR training
(Leadership Development in Interethnic Relations) and has taken part in
‘Doing Your Own Work’ a white anti-racism retreat at the Leaven Center.
He has co-chaired ‘Out’NAbout’, a 2-year support and awareness campaign
for LGBTQ people in the arts. Jack also took part in the ‘Open &
Affirming’ process at Woodside Church
Jack has two adult
children, two grandchildren and has been in a wonderful gay partnership
for the last 17 years. |
